*Special Program* Beginner’s Guide to Contracts

Wednesday, February 07, 2018 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm  ET
In-person | Washington, DC

Contracts represent a common, yet integral component to any successful organization.  Even though entered into voluntarily, contracts typically constitute a legally enforceable obligation.  Contracts often have legal terminology and concepts that can challenge those unfamiliar with such substance.  Unwary contracting parties could find themselves with significant liability in certain circumstances or with a lack of appropriate recourse should a contract dispute arise.  This is your chance to raise your contract IQ.  Session attendees will learn the basic elements of a contract, when a contract becomes enforceable and some contracting best practices.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the basic elements of an enforceable contract
  • Become familiar with typical contract terminology
  • Obtain best practice tips to contracting
